Assoc Prof Fatima is an Epidemiologist and Sleep Scientist. Fatima leads the Let’s Yarn About Sleep Program (LYAS) at the Poche Centre for Indigenous Health, University of Queensland. Her research focuses on the sleep health of First Nations peoples and aims to leverage the untapped potential of sleep health to improve health and well-being outcomes for First Nations peoples.
Fatima has extensive experience co-designing sleep health programs and service models and building First Nations health workforce for sleep equity in First Nations communities. Her work has received funding from the Medical Research Future Fund, NHMRC and several other industry partners.
