About half of older adults have chronic sleep complaints. Getting enough sleep is vital to your physical, emotional, and cognitive health but how do we ensure a good nights’ sleep?
In 2023, the Centre of Research Excellence to Optimise Sleep in Brain Ageing and Neurodegeneration (CogSleep) and the Sleep Health Foundation joined forces to host a discussion about the importance of sleep for healthy brain ageing. CogSleep was a government funded, 5-year program that brings together a world class cross-disciplinary team of researchers in the fields of ageing, dementia, chronobiology, sleep, and neuroimaging.
To support the event, a booklet was produced to compile important information on the topic of cognitive health and sleep.
